IAU Commission C4 on World Heritage and Astronomy

This is the temporary webpage of the International Astronomical Union’s Commission C4, a Commission of IAU Division C — Education, Outreach and Heritage.

 

 

The Organising Committee is as follows:

A new Organising Committee will be in place following the IAU’s 30th General Assembly in Vienna in August 2018.

 

 

The Commission works on behalf of the IAU together with UNESCO to implement the Astronomy and World Heritage Thematic Initiative.

 

The Commission has six Working Groups, as follows:

 

WG1 “WINDOWS TO THE UNIVERSE”: HIGH-MOUNTAIN OBSERVATORIES, AND OTHER ASTRONOMICAL SITES OF THE LATE 20th AND EARLY 21st CENTURIES (Joint with Commission B7)
